Estate Plavu is a luxury that meets nature’s embrace, and sustainability is the soul of elegance.

Designed by Earthitects, Estate Plavu is part of a bespoke luxury villa project known as Stone Lodges, inspired by the native hilly architecture of Wayanad. Nestled within 13 acres of pristine forested hillsides, Estate Plavu epitomises the harmony between architecture and nature.

Estate Plavu is a three-level masterpiece that gracefully embraces the rugged terrain of its almost one-acre forested plot. The top two levels house spacious lodges, while the lowest level features an outdoor terrace with an infinity pool encircled by serene lily ponds. Each lodge steps down gradually, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings.

The design of Estate Plavu prioritises preserving the existing rocks, trees, and site contours, with strategic voids allowing the architecture to coexist harmoniously with nature. Courtyards within the lodges bring in natural light and influence the microclimate of the residence.

The connection between the lodges is established through discreet bridges, creating an immersive experience that engages all the senses. The lighting design is seamlessly integrated into the architecture, enhancing the overall aesthetics. Warm diffused and cove lighting create a cosy atmosphere, inviting every space.

One of the unique features of Estate Plavu is its outdoor baths, allowing residents to shower beneath the open sky. These tropical showers, set amidst lush foliage and natural boulders, offer a truly immersive experience, fostering a deeper connection with nature.

The villa’s material palette reflects its commitment to sustainability. Natural materials like wood, stone, and clay are used extensively, while upcycled wood from construction waste is repurposed for various elements within the villa.

Estate Plavu also houses a bespoke furniture collection called “Handcrafted Collectibles,” created from construction waste scraps and locally sourced materials. These pieces embody exquisite craftsmanship and represent a commitment to sustainable living.

In addition to its design and sustainability, Estate Plavu boasts an incredible natural setting. The property is home to about 64 species of endemic birds, and the lush gardens with bird baths attract these beautiful creatures, creating a unique experience for residents.
