The double-height terrace, positioned at the heart of the house, serves as a connecting thread, with every room opening up to its expansive views. Sustainability is not just a buzzword but a guiding ethos, evident in the choice of materials and the raw yet refined colour palette. The design adapts to the changing seasons and attitudes, creating an ever-evolving decor.

The double-height foyer welcomes guests with an intricate staircase and a captivating 20-foot mirror reflecting the craftsmanship of an intricate cast railing. Natural light floods the lobby, enhanced by a fireplace adorned with fresh blooms and birdcage mirrors, creating a warm and inviting ambience.

Moving to the dining and lounge areas, natural wood and earthy materials define the space. Hand-cut and hand-sawn details and wood and brass accents contribute to a contemporary yet earthy vibe. During winter, the lounge transforms into a cosy dining room, highlighting the versatility of the design.

The master bedroom blends timeless techniques with modern twists, featuring refreshing green hues, floral upholstery, and elaborate details. The master bathroom echoes the sustainability ethos, utilising indigenous materials and celebrating local craftsmanship.

The passage, characterised by a play of minimalism and maximalism, showcases a pleasing medley of dramatic accents, vintage elements, and artisanal pieces. Eclectic corners in the terrace demonstrate aesthetic dichotomy through a minimal, neutral palette and dramatic styling, complemented by muted and antiqued brass finishes.

The living room, adorned with a meticulously crafted bar, reflects the family’s commitment to design aesthetics. Vintage switches, diverse antiques, and artefacts collected from travels across India and abroad infuse character into the space. Sliding doors demarcate and unify different areas, allowing for a seamless flow.

This house is not just a residence; it’s a living canvas where design, sustainability, and the natural beauty of the Aravali range merge into a harmonious and ever-evolving masterpiece.
