Timeless charm and modern comfort unite at the House of Grace
Our goal was to create a luxurious sanctuary that reflects the client’s love for nature while retaining a harmonious balance of minimalism and Bohemian modern design. The House of Grace represents a peaceful, connected living experience that aligns with modern lifestyles.
This luxurious family home in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was designed for a Sikh family and is a perfect symphony of elegance and tradition. The residence has a Royal English theme, with a bold black-and-white colour scheme that exudes timeless sophistication and charm. Set in a spacious setting, the House of Grace is designed to prioritise comfort while maintaining a fresh yet nostalgic atmosphere. Large windows let in natural light, making the interiors feel inviting and welcoming for residents and guests.

The clients envisioned a home that reflected their deep love for nature and provided calm and serenity. They stressed the importance of designing a space that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with a preference for minimalism and natural materials.

The design style employed is a harmonious blend of minimalism and Bohemian modernism. Minimalism was essential for making the space feel uncluttered and peaceful, while Bohemian aesthetics added warmth and grandeur through textured fabrics, plants, and artisanal touches. This fusion of styles results in a sophisticated yet cosy environment that allows each piece to breathe while providing visual interest.

The spatial layout emphasised open-plan living, fostering flow and connectivity between spaces. The living room, dining area, and kitchen were designed as continuous spaces to enhance the sense of openness. Large windows were used to maximise natural light and bring the outdoors in, blurring the distinction between indoor and outdoor spaces. Bedrooms were kept more private, each room serving as a personal retreat reflecting the occupants’ unique tastes. The master bedroom uses softer tones and minimalist furniture, whereas the guest room incorporates subtle Bohemian patterns and textures.

Balancing minimalism with Bohemian aesthetics was difficult, necessitating meticulous planning to avoid a sparse or overly eclectic appearance. Natural wood, exposed concrete, rattan, and jute were used as sustainable building materials. The neutral colour palette, which included earthy tones, muted greens, soft whites, and terracotta accents, complemented the organic materials and created a calming atmosphere throughout the house.
